Email analytics and deliverability reporting

Updated

Analytics answers two different questions: did people respond, and is the program healthy enough to keep sending.

Per-campaign metrics

| Metric | What it tells you | |---|---| | Delivery rate | Share of sent emails the receiving server accepted | | Open rate and count | Interest in the subject and sender | | Click rate and count | Interest in the content | | Click-to-open rate | Quality of the content among people who opened | | Bounce rate | List quality and address problems | | Complaint rate | How many recipients marked it as spam |

Each campaign also shows clicks by link, so you can see which call to action worked, and a device breakdown. For a campaign with two subject lines, sent, open and click figures are shown for each subject line.

Workspace overview

The overview covers a time window across all campaigns: campaigns sent, recipients, delivery, opens, clicks, contact totals, unsubscribes in the window and the unsubscribe rate. Use it to see whether the program is growing and whether engagement is slipping.

Deliverability

The Deliverability Center keeps the sending health in one place:

  • A health score per verified domain, based on SPF, DKIM, DMARC and sending-identity checks
  • Bounce and complaint rates over time
  • A breakdown of bounce types (permanent, transient and undetermined)
  • The suppression list size

If you also want to check records outside the dashboard, use the free SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX checkers.

Recommendations

The AI assistant reads your recent numbers and suggests what to change, for example when click rates fall or bounces rise. Treat them as prompts to investigate, not rules.

Reading the numbers well

  • Compare a campaign with your own previous campaigns, not with a number from the internet.
  • A high bounce rate means list hygiene. Remove bad addresses, and stop importing old lists.
  • A rising complaint rate is the most serious signal. Pause and find the cause before sending again.
  • Segment before you send. Engaged contacts produce better numbers and protect your reputation.

Frequently asked questions

Are open rates reliable?
Open tracking uses a small image, which some mail apps pre-load or block. Treat open rate as a trend within your own sends, not an exact count. Clicks and replies are firmer signals.
Do transactional emails get open and click tracking?
No. Transactional sends are logged with their delivery outcome, and webhooks report delivered, bounced and complained. Open and click tracking is for campaigns.
